CLIFF CASTLE CASINO Express Motorcoach Program:

 

Partnership: Since January 21, 2013

 

Casino Objectives: Establish a new, improved and further reaching motorcoach program prior to additional competition entering their market in the second half of 2013; and provide an additional source of revenue during off-peak times.

 

Plan: Cliff Castle is a unique client, given they previously had a motorcoach program in place for over 10 years; the program lacked marketing and was underutilized and inconsistent. CCL needed to provide a new, reliable, branded motorcoach program that operated a consistent schedule; transition the current free program to a program in which guests pay a retail charge to help pre-qualify them; grow the program by expanding its’ reach into new markets; reduce the costs of the motorcoaches via logistical routing and rate negotiations and make the reservation process more convenient and accessible for guests.

 

Successes: Working in conjunction with the Cliff Castle Casino marketing team, we were able to accomplish all of the set objectives. CCL implemented our turn-key program and marketing plan, the subsequent launch of the program has been one of the most successful in our 20-year history.

 

We seamlessly transitioned away from the free service while ensuring the motorcoaches operated a reliable, consistent schedule. We have been able to grow the program by expanding into new markets and operating a consistent schedule. CCL created a micro-site, linked to the casino’s web site that centralizes all program information and allows for 24/7/365 on-line reservations. Guests wanting to make reservations by phone, now have the option to do so by calling a toll-free number and speaking to a live reservationist, 7-days a week.

 

Marketing: The new program was branded and marketed as “Cliff Castle Casino Express” via a marketing campaign that included: direct mail, print, outdoor, e-blasts, micro-site, motorcoach wraps and flier distribution by street teams. CCL marketing personnel also conducted personal sales calls and attended senior expos to further promote the new service. Target marketing played a vital role to the success of this program. Arizona is a unique market due to the large number of “snow-birds” and the concentration of large senior communities. We specifically marketed to this demographic and these communities with great success.
